American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery

Volunteers

The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) depends on hundreds of volunteers from across the United States to perform many duties, including writing examination questions and serving as Oral Examiners for the ABOS Oral Examination. While many of these volunteers have been helping the organization for years (or even decades), the ABOS is always looking for new volunteers. All volunteers must be Diplomates who are currently Board Certified. While not paid, volunteers earn service credits which can be used to fulfill Self-Assessment Examination credit for Maintenance of Certification and are reimbursed for necessary travel. Please log in to your ABOS Dashboard and then click on the “Volunteer” button to complete the form for consideration. You must upload a CV in order to be considered. For more information on being a volunteer, please contact Kristin Caba.
