The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) provides reasonable examination accommodations to individuals who meet certain requirements. All requests for accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis after the submission of required documentation. To request accommodations, please click on the “accommodations” button on your ABOS Dashboard and complete the form when you register for the examination. For candidates with a disability as a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits that person in one or more major life events, has a record of such impairment or is regarded as having an impairment.
Breastfeeding Candidates
Breastfeeding Candidates who will need additional break time to pump may request a modified schedule. The ABOS provides an option for breastfeeding individuals to take the ABOS Subspecialty Certification Examination with additional break time and a semi-private or private space to allow for pumping.
