On September 14, 2026, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) will begin rolling out a new ABOS Dashboard to Residents, Candidates, and Diplomates. The updated Dashboard is designed to be easier to use, more visually intuitive, and supported by stronger backend security. Access will be restored in phases, and we appreciate your patience as we complete this transition.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Beginning at 12:00 pm ET on September 11, all users be unable to log in to their ABOS Dashboard.
- The ABOS Knowledge, Skills, and Behavior Program will not be impacted. Residents and Program Directors may continue to access it through the ABOS KSB Portal.
- Access will be restored on a rolling basis beginning September 14. We expect everyone who currently has an ABOS Dashboard to have access to the new ABOS Dashboard by September 23. Please wait until you receive your login email before attempting to access the new Dashboard.
- Users will receive an email at their primary email address with instructions for logging in when their access has been restored. Users will use their primary email address, rather than a username, and will be prompted to create a new password.
- Two-factor authentication via email will also be introduced for extra security.
- Those who need to update their primary email address, should do so through their ABOS Dashboard by September 3.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make these important updates. The ABOS is here to help make the process seamless for you. If you have any questions or run into any issues, please call us at 919-929-7103.
We look forward to providing you with an improved ABOS Dashboard experience soon.
