Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Examination Statistics
Starting in 2025, orthopaedic surgeons could take the ABOS Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Subspecialty Examination immediately after completing an ACGME-accredited fellowship. Previously, only ABOS Diplomates could take the Examination. Recent fellows cannot earn ABOS Subspecialty Certification until after they pass the ABOS Part II Examination and have their Application and Case List approved by the ABOS Credentials Committee. The requirements have not changed, just the order in which they are completed.
