ADA Accommodations
The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) provides reasonable examination accommodations to individuals who meet certain requirements. All requests for accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis after the submission of required documentation. Those who need examination accommodations per the ADA should complete this form, attach supporting documents, and email all documents by March 1 to accommodations@abos.org.
Breastfeeding Candidates
Breastfeeding candidates who need time to pump may request it by completing this form by March 1. The ABOS provides an option for breastfeeding individuals to take the ABOS Surgery of the Hand Certification Examination with additional break time to allow for pumping and access to a nursing mother space. Those with any other examination accommodations questions should also contact accommodations@abos.org.
All accommodation requests must be submitted by March 1, 2026.
