- If you choose to participate in the ABOS WLA, you must begin by 2020. If you did not, you must wait until your next 10-year MOC cycle starts.
- You must achieve five consecutive Quality Years, or answer all 120 questions correctly in four straight years. A Quality Year is achieved by correctly answering 24 out of 30 questions.
- If you do not earn a Quality Year in the next five years, you must then take an ABOS Computer-Based or Oral Recertification Examination.
- You must submit your Recertification Application, Application Fee, Case List, and CME/SAE requirements by December 1, 2024 (can also apply by December 1, 2022 or December 1, 2023).
